These Terms & Conditions govern the rental of surfboards and equipment through the website wantedboardrentals.com operated by Wanted Board Rentals.
By placing a booking on this website, the customer agrees to the following terms.
1. About Us

Wanted Board Rentals provides surfboard rental services and related equipment within Lisbon and surrounding coastal areas.
2. Booking and Payment
When placing a booking through our website, customers are required to pay a 50% deposit to confirm the reservation.
The remaining 50% of the rental price is paid at the time of pick-up or delivery of the equipment.
A booking is only considered confirmed once the deposit payment has been successfully processed.
3. Payment Methods
We accept the following payment methods:
Credit or debit card payments via Stripe
Direct bank transfer
Alternative payment arrangements agreed upon with our team
For bank transfers or alternative payment methods, the booking will only be confirmed once the deposit payment is received.
4. Cancellation and Refund Policy
We aim to keep our cancellation policy clear and fair.
Free Cancellation
Customers may cancel their booking up to 120 hours (5 days) before the scheduled rental date and receive a full refund of the deposit paid.
Late Cancellation
If the booking is cancelled less than 120 hours (5 days) before the rental date, the 50% deposit will not be refunded, as the equipment has already been reserved for the booking.
No-Shows
If the customer does not appear at the agreed time and location without prior notice, the deposit will be retained.
5. Rental Period
The rental period begins at the agreed pick-up time and ends at the agreed return time.
Customers are responsible for returning the equipment on time and in the same condition in which it was received, excluding normal wear caused by appropriate use.
Late returns may result in additional rental charges.
6. Responsibility for Equipment
During the rental period, the customer is responsible for the rented equipment.
Customers agree to:
Use the equipment responsibly
Avoid leaving equipment unattended in unsafe locations
Return all rented items at the agreed time
Inform us immediately if any damage occurs
Any damage, loss, or theft of equipment during the rental period may result in repair or replacement charges according to our Damage Policy.
7. Damage Coverage Option
During checkout, customers may select an optional damage coverage, which adds 15% to the total order price.
This coverage protects against certain accidental damages as described in our Damage Policy.
Damage coverage includes:
Small and medium dings
Broken leash
Up to two broken fins (must be returned)
Partial coverage of larger damages up to €80
Damage coverage does not cover theft or loss of equipment.

8. Customer Responsibility & Safety
Surfing is a physical activity that involves inherent risks.
By renting equipment from Wanted Board Rentals, customers confirm that they:
Accept the risks associated with surfing and ocean activities
Are responsible for assessing their own ability and experience level
Will use the equipment in safe conditions appropriate for their skill level
Will follow local safety guidelines and respect beach regulations
Wanted Board Rentals is not responsible for injuries, accidents, or damages that may occur during the use of rented equipment.
Customers are fully responsible for their own safety and decisions while surfing.
9. Weather and Sea Conditions
Surf conditions are influenced by weather and ocean factors that are outside our control.
Rentals are generally not cancelled due to normal surf conditions, including:
Small waves
Large waves
Wind
Cloudy or rainy weather
However, if conditions are considered unsafe or extreme, Wanted Board Rentals reserves the right to:
Delay the rental start time
Change the pick-up location
Reschedule the rental
Offer a refund if the service cannot be safely provided
Safety will always be the priority when making these decisions.
10. Equipment Availability
In rare cases where equipment becomes unavailable due to damage, technical issues, or unforeseen circumstances, Wanted Board Rentals reserves the right to:
Replace the equipment with a similar board or product, or
Offer a refund for the unavailable item.
11. Privacy
Customer information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
We collect only the information necessary to process bookings and provide our services.
